Coaches Corner 5 of 11

5. Coaching Philosophy

Whilst all coaches are encouraged to develop their own individual styles and coaching philosophies within the broader framework of the RFU and the rugby family, it is important to have a Statement of Intent from both the Club and Board [is this the IRB?] itself as well as the general coaching staff.

This gives a general framework under which the coaches can operate with their individual philosophies and aims, whilst still being able to incorporate the Club’s general aims and intent.

Horsham RUFC would like to ensure that all coaches, volunteers and the wider club and rugby family community adhere to[or operate within] the General Coaching Philosophy which is located at……TBA

Horsham RUFC is committed to the following:
• To ensure that all players and coaches are treated equally, fairly and without discrimination of any kind
• To dispel any perceived and actual cliques within our club
• To ensure training and playing are fun and enjoyable
• To instill the qualities that make rugby the great game and family it is in ALL players - Discipline, Respect, Teamwork, Sportsmanship, and above all Enjoyment

Play to win but also enjoy!
