On the 14th September 2014 Horsham RUFC Kicked off its new Changing Room Project a ambitious and forward thinking undertaking to provide Modem Era facilities to the current and future membership of Horsham RUFC.

This is a big drive to in a move toward making Horsham RUFC the best it can be!

The current Changing Rooms:

Are 42 years old
Costly to maintain
Too cramped
Do not comply with RFU standards
Do not meet with modern standards and expectations
Have no Female facilities
No disabled facilities
Do not have segregation for officials
Toilets shared with main club house

Overall the current changing rooms do not represent the expectation of the modern era, and do not represent the aspirations of the membership of this club!

The New Changing Rooms:

Built in 2015/16 providing facilities for the next 30-40 years
Be more cost effective to maintain
Be more spacious
Will comply with RFU standards
Will meet with modern standards
Will have Female facilities
Will have disabled facilities
Will have segregation for officials
Will allow for segregation of facilities from the main club house

Overall the new changing rooms will meet the expectation
of the current era and beyond providing a lasting legacy for the club to benefit from for years to come!

Timeframes

24/04/15 Obtain planning permission
23/10/15 Tender
04/01/16 Commence construction
05/08/16 Completion

Current Budget

The proposed project consists of:

A new build and redevelopment.
The new build will be circa 250m2
The redevelopment of the existing changing rooms
The current budget estimate for the delivery of the project is

£350,000.00

The funding target is based on this budget estimate.

FUNDRAISING THROUGH SPORTS EVENT

Participation in a sporting event, you could take part in a crawl, walk, run, climb a mountain or jump in a lake, the possibilities are endless. Combine a fitness plan with a fundraising event for the club.

The club will be organising a cycle race in 2015
“HELL and BACK” We are looking for a tough crew of men and women to partake in a challenge which is a combination of great fun and physical effort.

We are holding our biggest Fireworks and Bonfire Night yet at Horsham Rugby Club on Saturday 1st November.
All the proceeds will be allocated to the changing room project so please support.

IF YOU HAVE BUILDING SKILLS AND ARE ABLE TO ASSIST IN ANY PHASE OF THE WORKS FROM GROUNDWORKS TO PAINTING PLEASE LET US KNOW.
