The boys took a while to get going & were two trys down in the first 10 minutes as the Horsham defence was stretched by Pulborough creating an overlap to score on both occasions.
This was repeated twice more as the ball was spilled by Pulborough giving time & breathing space for Horsham to settle into the game.
Horsham then started to compete and play much better rugby but failed to stop a further Pulborough try in the corner to make the half time score 0-15.
Playing down hill & the wind behind us in the second half, Horsham took advantage with Sam Minto scoring a great try following a strong run supported by the rest of the pack.
Josh Medley kicked the conversion and we were competing at the breakdown, tackling well and putting Pulborough under pressure.
However, we failed to stop them scoring a further try despite a resolute defence and strong tackle on the line by Matt Allen.
Horsham picked up their game & Lewis Wilson had the try line before him but the pass off the floor from Sam Minto was judged to be forward.
Another opportunity followed some nice set piece from the back line but unfortunately Ben Murphy, despite having a great game, knocked on when all he had to do was fall over the try line! It was frustrating as we had done all the hard work & continued to create chances having our just rewards when Callum Punter burrowed over the line with Josh Medley converting.
Alex Harry had another great chance to score in the dying seconds but we just ran out of time, despite digging deep.
A competitive performance from all of the squad producing an entertaining game of rugby.
