Horsham played well below expectation but that's taking nothing away from Maidenhead who fully deserved their win.
We fell off tackles, dropped the ball, knocked on, were slow to the breakdown, got turned over and threw away loose passes.
It was not a performance we want to remember as we also gifted our hosts a couple of trys to trail 17-0 at half time.
Maidenhead scored early in the second half and the gulf widened to make any comeback very difficult.
On a positive note we had a purple patch midway through the second half when Matt Allen made a great break through a gap in the Maidenhead defense to release Max Paterson to score.
We scored another well worked try created through a number of phases by our forwards while camped in our hosts 22.
This was converted by Joe Blake to close the gap, but Maidenhead fought back to score another try to increase their lead.
Horsham failed to get any rhythm to their game, and made mistakes which were punished by Maidenhead, with their last try coming with the final play of the game.
The positives were the two trys we scored and our set piece in the line out, but it was disappointing for the green & whites.
As Maidenhead deservedly move on to the next round, we continue with our league campaign next week against Chichester.

The main thing about today boys is that we learn from our mistakes, dust ourselves down and move on.Every team is entitled to a poor day and today was ours.
Just remember thats only the second loss of the season and we bounced back from our first loss superbly.
Chin up lads and see you all on thursday.
