The hard work at training is starting to pay off with an excellent performance against a very competitive Esher side.
Some of the handling, support play and tackling was excellent.
Playing 3 x sets of rugby to give everybody in the squad playing time Horsham raced to a 21-0 lead in the first set with trys from Aaron, Alfie and Max Patterson & 3 conversions by Jordan Bell.
The second set was more even with Esher scoring an early try which was matched by a john Matthews score following a great break and chip ahead by Dale.
The final set involved rotation of all players and featured trys by Dale, John Matthews, Hayden Brock and Max Patterson with a single Bell conversion. Esher responded with a converted try making the final score 48-12.
It was a very satisfactory performance, strong at the breakdown creating quick ball to release the back line and their electric pace, but also providing plenty of physicality when it mattered.
The squad have to continue to build on this great start, with 2 solid performance so far, but it's a long season with plenty of rugby to be played.
