Squad Displays Great Sprint & Determination To Reduce 19 Point Deficit

We played 3 x 20 mins "thirds" (to enable player rotation) against a very competitive Teddington side.

Losing players to County, some of the team were out of position, with a few forwards in our back line!
Unknowingly, Teddington took full advantage of this, scoring the first converted try of the game.
Spotting a gap in our midfield they raced to Horshams try line & using great hands out of the tackle passed to a support player to score.
An almost identical try was scored soon after and after the first 20 mins Horsham were 14-0 down.

In the second 20 mins Teddington scored another unconverted try to increase their lead to 19 points.
The guys persevered and started to get back into the game, with strong performances by Cam Homer, Dan Phelps and Harry Slade.
Close to the Teddingtons try line Ben Murphy took a crash ball, and 3 defenders with him, to drive over to score a try which was converted by Ras Madum.
A second converted try was scored by Sam Minto who picked up a pop pass following a great break from Matt Allen to dive over from close range.

The score was now poised at 19-14 going into the final third, and Horsham had to dig deep and show the character they had in the previous 20 minutes to create another try.
This was scored by John Matthews in the corner with the last play of the game after another break by Matt Allen who delivered the final pass.
Unfortunately Ras was unable to convert from the touchline but 19-19 was a fair result in an entertaining game.

Good comeback today lads.Getting a draw from 19-0 down is never easy.Fighting spirit goes a long way.
As ever loads to work on so lets all be at training on thursday.
