Horsham / Warlingham - Team up

So on a windswept, Cold and thoroughly Miserable day our hearts were warmed by seeing the combined Horsham Warlingham team finally come of age.
In a bitterly cold and wet game we saw a masterclas of hard running, offloads and handling skills game that was thoroughly Enjoyable.
Whilst the opening exchanges with the Dorking team were tight and the opposition scored first after some weak tackling on a downhill slope, slowly but surely the Horsham Warlingham team began to dominate in the forwards.
The forwards began to run hard, clearing out rucks and then picking and going from the base of the rucks, interspersed with taking contact and some great interplay and offloading and moving the ball across the backs.
The first half culminating in a 60 metre try that had at least 10 phases, with some almost impossible offloads and gathers!

Half time 17-15 to Horsham/Warlingham

Second half going down the slope and with uncontested scrums the pack really began to exert pressure in the loose with their running, rucking and offloading game, so effective in fact that the ball was then kept quite tight and the backs were left a little cold towards the end of the match.
Fitness then started to tell and indeed the pitch slope did not help Dorking in their attempts to repel the onslaught.

The second half was all Horsham/Warlingham and the final score was 62-15

Considering the cold and the wet ball and the very sticky mud at times, this game was a joy to watch and the ball handling skills at times were pheonomenal.
