5 years ago, Pitchero was founded with the goal of creating a simple website template, which could be used by sports clubs to create and manage a professional website.

Today 10,000 clubs worldwide use a Pitchero website, reaching over 3.2 million unique users each month.

To support the continued growth of the network we have also developed a league and county website service providing a unique solution to the three pillars of community sport.

Over the next few days, Pitchero will begin the process of upgrading core network wide features. Listed below are the first phase of upgrades.

Upgrade 1: Pitchero.com

The old Pitchero.com has been replaced with a cleaner, more efficient website. We have also refreshed the Pitchero logo; this will be rolled out across all websites at the same time.

The new Pitchero.com includes new sports pages listing the top 100 club websites and the latest network activity.

Finally, we have refreshed the Pitchero blog and developed a new Support Centre for Webmasters and Admins.

Upgrade 2: User log in & Network Bar

To improve navigation across the network we have moved the user log in from under the main navigation bar to the to top right corner of each web page.

This will affect ALL users including; Webmasters and Admins.

The new log in bar includes a drop down and direct links to the different websites you have joined and control.

Upgrade 3: New user account

The Pitchero user account is one of the oldest parts of the current platform. Consequently, this has been completely redesigned and taken out of the club website environment.

The result is a clean, efficient page where users can view messages, upload videos and photos and track the latest news from the clubs, leagues and county websites they follow.

Upgrade 4: New My Profile page

Each user now has a Profile page, this page is visible to any of your friends and summarises the content which is relevant to you. If you are a player at one of your clubs your profile will look even better, including a match history and statistics.

Going forward we will be introducing more features for parents, coaches, club members and officials so watch this space.

Upgrade 4: Player availability

As part of your profile we've also introduced much improved player availability and team selection tools. We hope this will make managing your availability far simpler.

Upgrade 5: New My Network page

Because you can join as many clubs, leagues or counties as you like, we have added a new page called "My Network" which allows you to manage roles at any of your websites from one place.

Upgrade 6: New Inbox, Friends, Videos and Photos

Each feature has been dramatically improved. It’s now even easier to send and read messages, upload and share videos and photos and manage every element of your Pitchero account.

So lots of exciting things to come So make sure you keep an eye on the site as the changes roll out.
