Together with a number of other coaches from Vines sponsored clubs, John was led through a series of drills and plays by senior RFU Coaches under the expert eye of England's Mike Catt, Andy Farrell and Graham Rowntree.

John comments: "The location and facilities were superb and getting so close up and personal with three of the top coaches in world rugby, never mind the UK, was a great experience. Being able to hear first-hand from Graham Rowntree about the new scrum rules and how to approach them, listening to Andy Farrell’s expert and forthright view son “first up” defence and discussing Mike Catt’s approach to communication in attack was invaluable. I will be taking an awful lot of what I saw and heard into our next Colts training session on Thursday night and putting it into practice."

There was also a Q&A session at the end of the day, where questions were put to England's gurus, who offered up a number of interesting insights in to the way the national team approaches training and match days.
