Further to the advertised Colts Vacancy, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Glen Jones as Head Coach for Horsham Colts. Glen is a hugely experienced rugby fanatic with an enviable track record within the game in Sussex where he has held numerous roles in the game including Lead coach at various age groups and Divisional Selector for the London and S/E men' teams. As a qualified L2 RFU coach, he is now working towards his Level 3 as he continues to build his coaching knowledge whilst simultaneously heading up the Sussex U16 team and a Lead Coach on the Sussex Quins U16 DPP.

Perhaps most exciting is his current role as Head of Rugby at Collyers where he is responsible for developing the College's Rugby Program for both the male and female game allowing for real synergies between Horsham and Collyers as we look to build a formal relationship and maximise the development of our future players at this crucial age.

Glen is now busy putting his team together and working closely with Gareth Chamberlain to ensure a smooth handover with the aim to assume full responsibility from the end of May. He will no doubt relish the challenge of building on the excellent foundations that our Colts teams have laid down over the years and help these young men transition successfully in to the adult game. In this regard, I wanted to also thank Gareth for his excellent work over his last 2 years which has seen him navigate some real challenges, not least the pandemic, and still maintain a fully committed squad of players that showed real fighting spirit in an excellent hard fought game against local rival Haywards Heath at the weekend.
