Not only was he 1st Team Manager but he was one of those people who are happy to do the smaller jobs that are so essential to the smooth running of any organisation. In particular, he was a great help when the inside of the Clubhouse was redecorated, including installing new flooring, some 2 to 3 years ago.
We offer our sincere condolences to his wife Tansy, his daughter Sophie and sons Mark and the twins Rob and Adam. Rob will be well known to many of you from his Mini and Junior days and more recently as scrum half for the 1st XV.
Although not a rugby man himself, Chris loved sport. After leaving school he played for Forest Old Boys where he was affectionately known as Chris “Hotshot” Hoskins; once netting 5 goals for his team in a cup final game.
He was also a very keen cricketer having played for Horsham CC for many years, and after his retirement working in a variety of roles to help with the running of the club and, in particular, the cricket festival.
Chris was always there with a smile and a helping hand and he will be affectionately remembered by all those who came into contact with him.
