Brighton came up to visit us with Dallow, Spicer, Pinkie, Cubitt but we had Matt Allen, Lewis Wilson, John Matthews, Ben Murphy (2) and Man of the Match Ollie Lewis who gave us the necessary six tries. With a late conversion from Josh Medley we won 32-5 and got the important bonus point.
In the first half the game was played down the middle and despite too many unforced errors and knock-ons, Horsham was in the lead at half-time. In the second half the game became much more expansive and we got the ball more out on the wings which paid off. Brighton had one game plan and we figured it out and stood in their way – we were much fitter, and the excessive training from the new coaching team both Wednesday and Thursday nights are now paying off. Let’s keep that up and in three weeks’ time we can repeat September’s win over Guernsey.
