After a tough physical game against Guernsey up next were an even bigger joint Cherbourg-Hague/St Lo Minimes (U15/16) side.

After a break following our game against Guernsey U15/16 in true touring spirit we were loaned 4 Guernsey players to make up the numbers due to injuries.

We pitted ourselves up against Cherbourg who had a giant pack and liked to mix it up in the rucks & mauls with the odd punch, players lying accross the ball in rucks and sticking out their legs to impede and trip our players.

This created a bit of a slapping contest between Ben Murphy & their No. 6 but didn't stop the French scoring 2 trys eventually winning 10-0.
Once again we spent long periods in our own half and had a draining high tackle count against much bigger players.

Although hard work the boys enjoyed the experience of playing a foreign side with a different brand of rugby.

While Guernsey played the final match of the triangular tournament against Cherbourg we had our post match meal & watched Guernsey senior team play East Grinstead.

Guernsey U15/16 beat Cherbourg and won the tournament but had an issue of biting from the French during the game which was dissapointing.

The afternoon was spent at our scout centre acomodation doing High Ropes & team building activities which was great fun. The boys overcame different challenges and were very supportive of each other as well as having a bit of banter which brought the squad together.

This was followed by 5 a side footy with the dads joining in & Uncle Keith scored 2 goals in his winkle pickers, Mick Matthews stumbled onto the pitch to grab one & our tour manager scored a cracker following a through ball from his lovely boy - like Giggs & Bale!

Paul Wheeler showed some nifty footwork but the biggest cheer of the night was when Uncle Keith got up ended by Piers!
Tony Lewis refereed with no rules whatsoever and declared the final score 11-4 to the boys before we dissapeared for Fish & Chips. The boys retired to bed & the dads watched Match of the Day.

A great end to a busy day.

What would tomorrow bring?
