Horsham Lions still on the prowl!

Horsham Lions arrived at Coolhurst on Saturday to face local rivals, and current league leaders Pulborough 2s, in what was expected to be a hard and bruising encounter.

On a lovely Saturday afternoon, Horsham opened their account early doors with a Penalty in the early minutes of the game, Jo 'wet n' Wilde stepped forward and took it with ease. This was soon followed by 2 Tries, one was from Neal 'Amanda' Holden with his usual robust style of running and the other from Jake 'pocket rocket' Lowe, who took a fine line from an off load from Adam Harman and dashed for the line with pace.

Unfortunately, Lowe took a neck injury and had to leave the field, Peter 'd'ya like dags?' Garrigan stepped in to hooker. This would normally have made a big difference, but the opposition had not met the big dag!

With a lapse of concentration Borough stepped in with 2 tries, mainly feeding from Lions errors.

Just before half time, some ferocious tackling stopping Pulborough from crossing the Horsham line, and the break was taken for a nice breather.

The Second half, was mainly one way traffic. The lions dominated in most areas. Tries came from Richard 'errol' Billings (2) Rory 'i need to be in the write up' Yeates, Harman (1), Garrigan (2) and of course Captain, Mark 'sharkey' Elliott(2).

The skipper said 'I am very pleased with today's efforts, all the guys in the squad (1-16) worked very hard for this win, and if we can keep the team consistent in coming weeks,it has the making of a great season'

All in all,an enjoyable game to play in and a well worked win, and so the Lions move forward with venom.
