Clean sweep for the Lions at Pulborough

The Lions recorded an unbeaten day in Pool B at Pulborough at the weekend, despite fielding a team affected by injuries and late no-shows.

The team, led by Mark "Sharky" Elliott, defeated St Francis, Barns Green and Pulboroough 2s to finish top of the table. It says a lot that in spite of the wins the team finished the day unsatisfied with the performances they had put in, and illustrates the desire within the squad to make the season a successful one.

Two more pre-season games remain against Uckfield 2s/3s and Haywards Heath 3s before the league kicks off against Pulborough 2s on the 7th September.
