Rory Yeates scored the try of the match for Horsham, when after breaking down the left hand side of the pitch he chipped over the top of their back line, and the bounce sat up nicely for him to regather and cross the line to score.
By contrast Richard Henderson’s brace of tries were achieved by a direct route using his usual straight running style.
Sam Rice scored from an individual effort and Jeff Carvell’s try was set up after a break by Mark Elliott. Yeates converted three of the tries.
Lions Captain Adam Harman said “It was a very stop/start game so we couldn't really get into the swing of it, but had we played the full 80 minutes against one side I feel we could have put the game away more convincingly.”
