Horsham travelled to Eastbourne in a friendly fixture against former Horsham coach Mal Chumbley's Eastbourne. A perfect opportunity for both coaches to see the fringe players that will be knocking on the door of the 1st XV in weeks to come. Horshams stand out player was Tom Gilbert who was simply sublime on the day and will have Scott Price looking over his shoulder. Strong performances from youngsters Jake Lowe and Joe (Turn the lights out) Wilde will also please Stocker. Tries came from Dave Barber, Will Bell & Neal Holden who still trying to reach full fitness following his injury lay off. Jonny Porter came through his second 60 minute spell of the season and is looking a good bet to be challenging Johnny Whitting for the 8 shirt. Next week Horsham face unbeaten Worthing at Fortress Coolhurst with both teams looking to cement their position as promotion favorites.
