Horsham end pre season on a high

Despite the morning kick off Horsham Lions finished their pre season games unbeaten and full of confidence prior to this weekends opening game against Bognor 2's. Littlehampton from the league above made the running in the first quarter and took an early lead through their skipper and outstanding No. 8. Horsham struck back against the run of play with the young backline having far to much gas for the south coast side.The game then swung both ways with both teams showing a degree of brilliance and rustyness. With 20 minutes remaining the scores standing at 21- 24 to the Green Army Horsham finally put the game to bed with some wonderful play by their young back line ending the game 21 - 35 winners. Although the scoreline is slightly flattering to the Lions they can take the positive away from the game. The return of Adam Harman who skippered on the day and superb performances from young colts such as George Johnson, Will Bell & Joe Wilde. Lions kick off this weekend at Fortress Coolhurst with a 15:00 kick off. Having already beaten Bognor 98 - 7 in pre season full of confidence for a strong start to their league campaign.
