Following the exciting climax to the season with the securing of a promotion and Sussex Cup double, Horsham 1st team will be playing in London 1 South at level 6 in the rugby pyramid for 2019/20. This is the highest level that the club has played and whilst the challenges will be very real, as a club, we are all extremely excited about the season ahead.
Most of our successful team are committed to the next level up yet and are looking forward to getting stuck in, but, like most amateur rugby clubs there is always room for more players. If you are a player who likes playing competitive rugby the way it should be played – namely fast and expansive with a huge degree of enjoyment, then you would be most welcome at Horsham RUFC.
We field 3 senior teams, all playing league rugby so the opportunity to play is extensive. We also put out an occasional casual veterans side offering room for all, including new players and those returning to the game following a break. All three teams have their management structures in place to ensure the match day experience is maximised for all players and with an active social programme, the enjoyment very often spills over from the pitch into the clubhouse.
Boasting some of the South East’s best facilities due to the newly installed AGP and Changing Rooms, alongside the extensive modernisation of the clubhouse over the last 12 months, the club is a truly vibrant place to be in Sussex and one that we would very much welcome you to be a part of.
Preseason training starts at Horsham on Thursday 4th July from 19:30.
