Mixed result at the West Sussex Festival.
Horsham U11's played well in a hard fought opening game against a strong Chichester side with the score finely balanced 2-2 at half time it was all to play for in the second half, the match stayed eveningly fought but Chichester managed to score two tries after a couple of missed tackles from Horsham. Second game another hard fough game which Worthing did well in keeping Horsham contained 1-1. Third game against hosts Crawley was a scrappy affair in which Horsham were always in control 3-0 win. Forth game Horsham feel asleep and were out rucked by a powerful Pulborough side, Horsham just did not turn up at this one and paid the price going down 1-4. After post match team talk Horsham were ready for the final game against festival winners Haywards Heath, this game the lads decided to turn up and with total commitment from every player Horsham lost 0-1 after having a good try disallowed as the ref was unsighted. After disappointment in earlier performances it was good for the lads to finish on a high and show what they can do.
Much improved performances from birthday boys Ben and Henry Pointer, and Andreas Madum well done lads. Special mention must go to Scott who had outstanding and totally commited performances in every game. Man of the Festival Scott.
