Emmette O'Rahilly opened the Lions score board with a lovelly interception from the lineout, to sprint the final 25 yards and get a try on the right hand side. This was setting out the intentions for the rest of the game. With an original 14 men, and then an additional Dan Bourne joining the ranks. The Lions again addressed the field with only 15!
With a few last minute changes the team set to work on the Heathfield side. After the O'Rahilly try, tries came from Crook in the centre and a minute from halftime, a nice individual effort came from Ryan O'Gorman at Full back. Who showed great pace as he slipped passed 3 Heathfield players and scored a good solid try. O 'Gorman stepping up for kicking duties and slotting two other penelties. The score at half time was 20-0 to the Lions. Heathfield came out firing in the second half and managed to bundle over for a try early doors in the second half. However, Richard Henderson was determined not to leave it at that and with straight running crashed over in a good response.
Dan Crook also used his straight running and showed the opposition a good hand off before scoring again. Heathfield managed to late tries, however the score line was too much. Final score 24-39 to the Lions. A great away win and a good solid performance by all players.
