Casuals continued their march towards their first ever league title with a convincing win over a typically enthusiastic Horley side. Horley who seem to improve each time the two sides meet were sadly never really in this one with Horsham boasting one of the strongest XV's in recent times and in addition having a mix of youth and experience on the bench allowing them to bring fresh legs at vital times. Simon Hopkins
was outstanding for Casuals, helping himself to a couple of tries as was the young Chris Bates in his first senior season showing skills that will have the coaching team wanting to move him up very soon. Horley can also take heart from the performance of their blind side flanker and second row who not only put in strong performances but then amazed the clubhouse afterwoods when they announced it was their first ever game of rugby having only trained twice at the end of last year. It is the last time these two teams meet this season and both will continue their campaigns albeit at opposite ends of the table but Casuals and all at Horsham rugby club wish them every success for their remaining games.
