TOPLESS GARDENING IS A SUCCESS! NO, REALLY.

The lucky winner of the human auction at the end of season May Ball had a visit from some topless gardeners from the club.

OK so lucky may not be the right word, but Bridget Quigley and her family had a visit from Horsham's own budget version of Ground Force two weeks ago.

Bridget (for reasons best known to herself) outbid all others at the end of season May Ball to secure the services of four of the club's finest for an afternoon of gardening and other suitably menial jobs. In her defence her memories of the evening are a little hazy.

Having "conveniently" arranged a tea party in the garden for some of their friends that afternoon, Bridget and Steve were treated to the sight of the Wright brothers Tom & Rob, Jamie "Bieber" Gibbs and Grumpy Rob getting stuck into the weeds, borders and hedges for a few hours.

In between pruning, digging and worrying about broken fingernails they also found time for a quick session of touch rugby with the children. Rumours that Rob has been missing training due to a tackle dished out by Bridget's seven-year old son are untrue. Probably.

Thanks to the guys for agreeing to put themselves forward (for what was, in all honesty, a MASSIVE garden!), and also to Steve and Bridget for their generous donation to the club development fund. Although seeing Tom without a shirt on they may be considering asking for a refund.
