For those that do not know, this is a 7's tag tournament for all abilitiies, ages and gender. Its a fun day, although some do take it a bit more seriously than others......
The tournament was started in memory of Simon Viney, who played for Barns Green 2's and died aged just 22 from a pulmonary edema related to a heart condition, just before Christmas in 2009. Money raised from the tournament will be split between the rugby charity Wooden Spoon, and a local child who has just been diagnosed with leukaemia, or a Leukaemia charity.
Entry is £50 per squad of 10, plus £5 for each player over 10. To get your entries in, or for more information contact Phil Kemp at phil.kemp@tesco.net
Players from Horsham have supported this tournament greatly since it started, so now is the time to get your teams sorted and entered. Teams can be a mix of seniors, juniors, mini's, ladies - any mix you want.
One last thing, Phil believes that the trophies were won last year by teams from ourselves. Could those who have the trophies please return them for this years tournament!
