Horsham Under 15 player Sean Richardson had to miss out on the club tour to Belgium last weekend because the Quins came calling.

Sean played for the Harlequins in the Premiership Academy 12's Tournament last weekend, held at Harrow School. Apart from the Quins, also present were Wasps, London Irish, Saracens, Bath, Gloucester, Bristol and Exeter.

Quins played 6 games overall with wins against Wasps (15-5) and Bristol (30-0), but lost to Bath (10-5), Saracens (20-5), Gloucester (20-5) and London Irish (10-5). For reasons unknown, there was no game against Exeter. In case you were wondering, there were no conversions in the Tournament. Quins finished 5th out of 8 teams.

Sean played full games against Wasps and London Irish and half a game aginst Saracens and Gloucester. He had an excellent time, and the Quins coaches were very pleased with his performances. he made all his tackles, was excellent in the contact area and managed to return a kick-off in to the oppositions 22 below slowing, looking for support. He said afterwards he was looking for Horsham teammate Declan!.

And just to round the day off, his mum brought a birthday cake along and got the full Quins squad to sing happy Birthday to him. Thanks Mum!
