Welcome to the Horsham U16s homepage.
Hopefully you will find everything you need to know about us in the following pages.
Once again the lads have enjoyed a great season, building on the success of previous seasons. Another strong league campaign was, unfortunately, not rewarded with a place in the Sussex U15 Final as we finished third in the A league (for a second successive season).
The challenge for the squad this season coming, as well as coming to terms with lifting in the line-out, will be to maintain the high standards of previous seasons and to continue to enjoy their rugby.
We currently have a squad of around 25 players but are always looking for new recruits (whether moving from another Club or new to rugby) and would welcome any interested player who is in school year 11. If interested in joining Horsham U16s please contact me - details as listed below.
Training takes place on Wednesday evening and Sunday morning, at Horsham's Coolhurst Ground … see below for more information.
All our fixtures are played on Sundays, with kick-off being 11:00 (unless by mutual agreement).

Match results, reports and photos will be posted onto the web-site as soon as practically possible.

![Training currently taking place, at Horsham RUFC (Coolhurst Ground), as follows ...
• Wednesday evening from 6:15 to 7:45 (weather permitting) and
• Sunday morning from 10:00 to 12:00 (when we don't have a fixture)
Player attendance at training is a huge part of why we have enjoyed three great seasons on the trot and notched up some notable victories ... so do make every effort to make it along to Wednesday and Sunday sessions (where possible).
Attendance at training is key to developing team & unit play, as well as improving an individuals set of skills. Fitness, specific to rugby, is an essential element of training, as it is a key component of individual performance.
Whatever the weather, regular hydration is essential to player performance. By the time you feel thirsty it is already too late - you are de-hydrated. De-hydration's first affect is poor decision making, shortly followed by reduced muscle power & recovery. So don’t forget a drink!
Boots and trainers are recommended (the latter in the drier months for the longer runs) and don’t forget all body-armour and mouth-guard.
Training tops are recommended, if not essential, for all training sessions. You can always take a layer off!
